Last month, Fitzrovia was voted the best place to live in London. But we think it’s the best place to work too!
We have a number of reasons for this which we’ll share with you in our upcoming blog posts. Firstly, and thanks to daylight savings and longer evenings, there’s no better excuse for an après-work drink.
After extensive research (all professionally in aid of this blog post) our team have tried and tested some of Fitzrovia’s finest pubs and bars.
Here are our Top 5:
Oscar, Charlotte Street Hotel – 15-17 Charlotte St, London W1T 1RJ
Oscar Bar and Restaurant offers a stylish setting, fresh, seasonal food and an extensive cocktail menu. Interior design by Kit Kemp consisting of vibrant décor, original art from the period, and a selection of comfortable seating, sets both an interesting and relaxing atmosphere.
Crazy Bear Fitzrovia – 26-28 Whitfield Street, London W1T 2RG
A bar with a glamourous vibe and a slightly Asian twist serving a selection of traditional cocktails and Crazy Bear classics. You might try something new like an Oriental Express or a Ginger Bear but the trendy menu also includes the less unusual classics such as champagne cocktails, martinis and mojitos among others.
Percy & Founders – 1 Pearson Square, London W1T 3BF
Bright and airy, Percy and Founders features a cocktail lounge, dining bar and terrace, perfect for afternoon meetings or after-work drinks. The terrace provides a tranquil atmosphere for sipping cocktails or dining al-fresco and the menu offers a huge array of wines, ales and beers for you to choose from.
The Prince of Wales Feathers – 8 Warren Street, London, W1T 5LD
Just across the road from Warren Street tube station, it’s difficult to walk past on your way home from work and not stop for a quick pint. The evening sun hits the outside drinking area just right and the staff are always welcoming. An elegant pub, with the added bonus of a lovely roof terrace.
The Northumberland Arms – 119 Tottenham Court Rd, London W1T 5AW
A classic and traditional English pub in the heart of Fitzrovia, with a food and drink menu to match. Inside has been decorated with a contemporary touch providing a fresh modern space for the after-work office crowd.
Fitzrovia is fortunate to be home to an excellent selection of pubs and bars and we are lucky enough to work within walking distance of them! We haven’t tried them all so our Top 5 are most definitely biased but if you’re looking to try somewhere new, we think you should visit one of these.
Stay tuned for the next instalment of why Fitzrovia should be voted the best place to work in London featuring our favourite restaurants!
